The Atlantic Cities has just posted a video about the strange, legal grey area surrounding Thailand’s street vendors.
The video (embedded below) tells the stories of two men, one of whom is a refugee of the corporate grind who sells earrings and the other of whom is a recent immigrant to Bangkok from rural Thailand who sells sugar can juice.
Not only fascinating because of the economics it reveals (you can make as much money as an earring vendor as you can as a middle manager??), the video also offers an elegant, well-shot portrait of this pretty awesome city.
