Bangkok love triangle results in stabbing murder

A Singaporean man who reportedly stabbed his Thai wife’s lover to death in Bangkok’s Chatuchak area last week is currently on the lam from police in a BMW.

Hsu Wei Hua, 38-years-old, reportedly eavesdropped outside the condo he had bought for his 25-year-old wife Ms. Siriwan Yaemsi for 30 minutes, before kicking down the door and finding her in bed with 26-year-old Mr. Ittiphan Kuwakorn.

According to CCTV footage, the two men began to fight until Hsu went into the apartment, came out with a knife, and stabbed Ittiphan, who was a well known drift car driver known as Wat Kumho.

According to Thai media reports sited by AsiaOne, Ittiphan was stabbed nine places including the chest, head, back, and right hand.

Hsu then allegedly fled in a BMW 325i that he had bought before for his wife and Siriwan called the police. The Singaporean’s passport was recovered at the scene. Hsu is believed to have given Siriwan many luxury presents and a monthly allowance of THB70,000.

Singapore’s The New Paper reported that Hsu had hired Ittiphan to be Siriwan’s chauffeur. Ittiphan was a fixture on the local drift racing scene in Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore for years, known for driving a purple Nissan Cefiro.

Photos of the victim, suspect, and crime scene are at AsiaOne.

The murder allegedly happened at Regent Home Condominium in Chatuchak.
