Bangkok governor earns mediocre marks in poll

Bangkok governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra didn’t rate well in a recent poll, scoring an average 6.15 out of 10 for overall performance from the respondents.

The number was 2.1 percent lower than the score he earned 6 months ago.

The poll was conducted by Bangkok University and surveyed 1,117 Bangkok residents over 18.

About 60 percent of the respondents said that they had “yet to see Sukhumbhand do anything impressive”,The Nation reported.

He scored the best rating for his diligence (6.6 out of 10) and the lowest for his creativity (5.78 out of 10).

About 44 percent said thy were “not sure” if they would vote for Sukhumbhand again, while about 18 percent said they definitely would not.

Roughly 40 percent of the respondents said they wee impressed by the governor’s performance over the past three months, with his most notable achievement being his efforts to fight the flood and provide flood relief.
