Bangkok flood evacuees locked up for playing cards in Pattaya

A group of 22 Bangkok flood evacuees was arrested recently in Pattaya for playing cards.

Police arrested 16 men and six women at Soi Khopai in Pattaya on Nov. 10, the Pattaya Mail reported. A deck of cards and cash were confiscated.

Duangdao Klomsinchai, 42, said she rented the house in Pattaya because her home in Bangkok’s Bang Khen district was flooded. She had invited her neighbors to escape the floods with her and pass the time playing cards.
