Bang Chan district ordered to evacuate

The area is home to the Bang Chan Industrial Estate, home to more than 90 factories, and one of the few industrial parks not yet flooded in Thailand. Laborers are constructing flood barriers currently, according to the Bangkok Post, and the estate is most vulnerable from the north and northeast as water from Khlong Sam Wa continues to rise.

With the addition of Bang Chan, 12 total districts in Bangkok have been ordered to evacuate by Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand. Governor Sukhumbhand.

Sukhumbhand also said yesterday that roughly 800,000 people in Bangkok are living under 80cm of water in 470 locations.
