A 58-year-old American man and a 47-year-old Thai woman yesterday fell to their deaths from a Bangkok hotel room balcony, Khao Sod reported.
Early yesterday morning police responded to a call that two people had fallen from the sixth-floor balcony of Sky Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 1.
Witness Prapan Meenat, 54, said he was in the area buying jok (Thai rice porridge) when he heard two people arguing from the hotel. As he looked up, Mr. Prapan said he saw the pair falling to the ground.
Initial investigations show that the American rented the room on the sixth floor a day earlier and that an argument took place inside the room before the pair climbed over the balcony rail and fell to their deaths, Lt. Sarut Ratyanon of Lumphini Police told Khao Sod.
