A 65-year-old alleged British pedophile was arrested in Bangkok’s Pha Kanong area on Sunday Feb. 5 and charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and publicizing child pornography.
According to a Daily News storytranslated by TANN, General Wiboon Bangthamai raided a house in Pridibhanomyong in the Wattana District of Bangkok and arrested Varley Layman Andrews, who was wanted by both Indian and British police.
Andrews had previously fled to Thailand and changed his name to Martin Ashley.
Police transferred Andrews to the custody of the British Embassy in Bangkok, the story said.
