320 people were killed in 3,129 road accidents throughout Thailand during the “seven dangerous days” of Songkran, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department said this morning.
There were 49 more deaths this year than the 271 in 2011 during the week of danger from April 11 to 17 , The Bangkok Post reported.
3,320 people were injured this year, a drop from 3,476 in 2011.
