Newly married farang got money stolen from his closet

It seems like this expat isn’t having a stellar 2017 so far.

A month after a German man started a life with his new wife in the Isaan province of Udon Thani, some misfortune visited the newlyweds when someone broke into their home yesterday and stole money from their marriage closet.

His Thai wife, Wilawan Kaewudon, 31, reported to the police that THB12,000 in cash was stolen from their closet while they were out shopping for furniture for their new home yesterday.

Wilawan said the couple had been dating for years and they decided to get married only a month ago.

When they came back, they found the bedroom door open and the money in their closet gone.

This new husband already seems like an Udon Thani local though. If he were a tourist, he would have had THB130,000 stolen from his drawer like this poor vacationer.

Police are looking for the culprits, Daily News reported.
