Newborn girl abandoned in gas station toilet

A newborn with a hastily clipped umbilical cord was abandoned inside a gas station toilet on Sunday southeast of the capital.

A man using the restroom at a PTT station in Chonburi city went to investigate the sound of a crying baby led him to discover the newborn girl inside the women’s restroom.

The baby was swaddled in a towel with a note saying she was born to a “bad girl” abandoned by the baby’s father.

Police are trying to ascertain the identity of the mother, The Nation reported.
