A photoshoot starring unidentified naked Thai men posing in a Chonburi province mangrove forest has been circulating on social media this week. And, weirdly, this forest actually has a bit of a rep for this sort of thing.
The pictures were reportedly taken at a wooden bridge at the Mangrove Forest Conservation and Study Center in Mueang District, an area so infamous as a hub for outdoor “thrill” seekers that authorities actually closed off that section of the forest. Despite that, some extra-passionate “nature lovers” still managed to sneak in, according to Workpoint.
While it’s unclear when this particular photoshoot occured, other local media recently reported that photos of men having intercourse, which were taken at the same location two weeks ago, were being circulated online.
Pornpit Foiwari, director of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, said officials are currently working to track down the men behind the photos, reported New TV.
Under Thailand’s internet law, loading pornography onto the web can be punished with a jail term of up to five years and/or a fine of up to THB100,000 (US$3,100).
Did we mention this has happened previously? A similar photo session also reportedly took place in same spot in May of last year.

And it’s not just men.
A woman was fined in 2015 for posing nude in a mangrove forest outside of Bangkok, while just last November, another woman tweeted photos of herself strolling naked on a Chonburi province bridge to her 21,000 followers.

While we’re in no way attributing such noble sentiments to the aforementioned folks, there are proponents of the idea that naturism — practiced discretely and legally — can provide emotional therapy and relief from the pressures of our materialistic society.
