Of course, it’s always the ghosts’ fault.

The Democrat Party hosted a religious ceremony yesterday to evict bad spirits after bullets were fired into the party’s office in the Phayathai district.

Monday morning unidentified gunmen traveling in a grey Toyota Camry fired guns at the office’s coffee shop. No injuries were reported.

While Democrat chairman Abhisit Vejjajiva blamed the attack on political intimidation, Juti Krairuek, Secretary General of the Democrat Party, suggested the party should bulletproof themselves with supernatural miracles by inviting nine monks for a merit-making ceremony in front of the party’s statue of “Mother of Earth Squeezing her Hair.”

“This would bring us some goodness to fight against the badness,” Mr. Juti said, “So hopefully we do not have to meet in the next lifetime.”

Members of Democrat Party, including a number of VIPs will attend the ceremony.

Meanwhile, down on planet earth, Director-General Sutham Rahong of the Democrat Party stated that he will ask for support from Phayathai and Bang Sue police to maintain the safety around the perimeter.

Sutham also believes that the party has obtained evidence regarding the shooting incident from  CCTV footage, Khaosod reported.
