MTV wants you to talk about sex

…if, that is, you’re between the ages of 16 and 24, and a Thai national.

MTV, the cultural portal that once introduced us to “Gettin Jiggy With It,” is making a documentary about how young people around the world get jiggy with it.

Following close on the heels of other successful, true-to-life documentaries, such as “Bullied” and  “We’re Having a Baby,” production company Firecracker Films has taken upon itself to solicit short videos from young people all over the planet as they talk about their sexual experiences. These videos will then be cut into what we can only assume will be a groundbreaking compendium of bedroom talk.

A foolproof plan, right? WRONG! It turns out that Thailand’s tight-lipped youth are proving a persistent fly in this pot of jelly.

Via Firecracker Films itself: “Until now we’ve been finding it really difficult to get young people from Thailand interested in taking part in the project. We’d love to include more Thai voices, but it’s proved really hard to find anyone willing to talk openly to us about sex and relationships.”

So, Thailand, what gives? Is filming video a problem for you? Are you nervous about having your sexual exploits broadcast across multiple continents for the purpose of further enriching Sumner Redstone?

Maybe you just haven’t heard about the project yet.

If the latter case is true, and you feel like opening up about your sex life, check out the flier below, where you can learn what sort of info the production team is after, and where it would be best to send your recorded testimonies.
