The old headquarters of the Bank of Thailand, through which much foreign capital has flowed
The Nation is reporting that 143 foreign service businesses have registered in Thailand this year, despite the baht’s fluctuations and the generally phlegmatic state of the world economy.
The Business Development Department reports that these businesses have brought with them THB8.92 billion in initial capital and that they have created 2,300 new jobs. This investment represents a 122% increase from last year, whereas the number of new businesses opened in the first months of 2013 has increased 8%.
