You need to choose the “Cash” option before you book your ride, then confirm your pickup location and payment method.
Uber is rolling out the cash option for Bangkok passengers from today, so it may not come up on your app screen straight away, but it will soon, the company says.
Obviously only Thai baht will be accepted, and Uber has gently reminded passengers to make sure they have enough cash for their trip.
