Mix of women, birds and Japanese aesthetics in drawings

Elysha Rei, an Australian visual artist will display her “Drawing Out the Best in Me” exhibition in Bangkok for the first time.

Elysha was the former resident at cultural Sam Rit Residency in Nakhon Ratchasima where she rediscovered her long lost love for the simplicity of art using a pencil and paper.

The series features women’s faces, birds, and symbols of Japanese heritage such as a Maiko Geisha and Samurai Warrior helmet.

The opening reception starts at 7pm on Jan. 16.
