Ministry of Education’s printing house catches fire

A Ministry of Education’s textbook printing house caught fire last night. The fire at Suksapan Lat Prao started in the bookbinding department on the mezzanine and quickly spread to the first floor, causing windows to shatter and ceilings to collapse.

It took eight fire trucks around fifty minutes to bring the blaze under control. About a hundred printing presses were thought to be damaged along with a substantial amount of printed papers, reported the Daily News.

Authorities are assessing the financial cost of the fire today.
