The world’s best driver will indeed be returning for the 2013 Race of Champions on December 14-15th at Rajamangala stadium. The Race of Champions pits championship-winning drivers of different motorsports against each other in an assortment of vehicles that they typically don’t drive, like stock cars, dune buggies, or even something as wild as the KTM X-bow.

Michael told us that last year’s race wouldn’t be his last, but now it’s officially confirmed. The man who once fooled us into thinking he was truly “The Stig” will definitely be returning to Bangkok to grace us with his driving prowess this coming December.

Last year’s crowd was a bit of a disappointment, but Schumacher has big expectations for the 2013 race:

“Well, let’s put it like this maybe: I have always enjoyed the Race Of Champions, being together with the other drivers in a relaxed atmosphere, and in the end this is why I have always returned. It is a cool event where everybody has fun: drivers, spectators and media. I am sure the crowd in Bangkok this year will understand even better that they just have to turn up and be part of the spectacle, so I put my trust in them to celebrate the Race Of Champions together with us.”

Tickets and further details will be released soon.
