Lionel Messi and Neymar have been confirmed for Barcelona’s trip to Thailand, along with Gerard Pique, Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta. The Spanish league champions will arrive at Don Muang airport at 12:30 pm on Monday, August 5, and the squad will stay at the Okura Prestige hotel.
This will be Barcelona’s second appearance in Bangkok. They played a friendly in 2002 against the Bec Tero All Stars that ended 0-0 after normal time. Managed at the time by Carles Rexach, the Barcelona side that day included Reina, Abelardo, Frank de Boer, Cocu and Saviola and ended up winning 4-2 on penalties.
Barcelona will play a friendly against Thailand at Rajamangala Stadium on Wednesday, August 7 at 7 pm.
