This morning, the driver of a brand-new Mercedes Benz sped off after being pulled over by a police officer, dragging him for 100 meters along Rama II Road as the cop tried to stop the car.
The video showed a police officer pulling over a Mercedes with a red plate, which is a temporary tag for a brand-new vehicle. As the officer asked to see the vehicle’s registration, the driver took off at a high speed, dragging the unlucky officer for over 100 meters on the road as the cop tried to physically stop the car.
The officer from Tha Kam police, Nithi Anchalee, said that the driver was a 40-something woman, and her passenger was a man of approximately the same age.
Officer Nithi said that the man instructed the driver to drive away fast, and Nithi was unable to pull his arm out of the car in time.
His arms and legs scraped the road, and his leg was run over by the car’s back wheel. Immediately after, Nithi was sent to Bang Mod Hospital, reported Sanook.
The Tha Kham police have called the car’s registered owner to accept charges of disrupting the officer’s duty and injuring him. Because of how they attempted to flee, the police suspect illegal activity was happening in the vehicle.
The owner is expected to report to the police; otherwise, an warrant for their arrest will be issued.
