The Thai proverb “Where there’s a 7-Eleven, there’s a dog” is no longer accurate because the rival kitties are slowly invading their air-conditioned spaces nationwide.
The Facebook community of the 7-Eleven dogs was sent into a panic this week after it shared a photo of a snoozy, cuddly cat lounging inside the franchise store on Koh Phi Phi, ignoring absolutely everyone.
“So where are we going to live now?” the dog page said with concern.
It turns out there is also an online community for store cats, called “7-Eleven cats”. The entertaining page is where people submit cute photos of the cats who have successfully taken over a 7-Eleven store.
And sometimes photos are shared of felines preparing for their eventual takeover of a 7-Eleven by practicing with a vegetable vendor first.
