A Chaiyaphum man is making waves after he rose from the death as a new person, the son of Death, to be exact.
Anan Boonjiam, 32, was pronounced dead at Wang Nam Kiew Hospital on Wednesday, but just as his relatives were to move his body to the temple three hours later, he woke up to say hello, in the first of many surprises.
It was obvious Anan, who always spoke in a clear Isaan dialect, was no longer himself when he began speaking in a clear central dialect. He also didn’t remember any of his family members.
To the shock of his wife Netnapa Kraisantier, 37, Anan quickly explained it all. He said he’s not the same old Anan, but instead another man named Karn.
Karn, he explained, died 932 years ago, and unable to enter heaven, became so beloved by Death that he was adopted as a son, before finally reincarnating Saturday in Anan’s body-vessel.
Fortunately Netnapa learned the story wasn’t just an elaborate ruse to escape his wife. Before becoming Death’s favorite son, Karn said he had also been her husband before dying.
Netnapa and family members believe the story, as the newly-reincarnated man said he had no idea what these crazy “baht” are being used as currency. No word on whether smartphones, clothing and people living past 20 provoked a similar reaction.
Karn claims Anan’s spirit has moved on and is now living in the spiritual world with a wife from one of his his former lives, Khaosod reported.
