Feeling a little stressed from work at the end of the week? Meditation may just be the answer. And if you are new to meditation, Shambhala is here to help.
Shambhala Mandala Association is a non-profit organization which is part of an international community of meditation and retreat centers.
This Saturday, anyone can join an intensive class to improve their meditation practice with combined periods of sitting and walking meditation. Sessions are held in groups every Saturday afternoon and are led by a certified instructor.
This meditation group is based on the Tibetan Buddhist tradition of Shambhala, focusing on the shamatha-vipashana technique, or mindful-awareness meditation.
The session is on Sept. 26 in an air-conditioned room, close to BTS Chitlom. Registration and fees are not required, but donations to the group are welcome.
