MDs demand Health Minister’s ouster

The Rural Doctors Society and the Network for Justice in Health System are continuing to demand talks with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra in regards to their ongoing clash against the Public Health Ministry.

The Nation reports that the current acrimony stems from Health Minister Pradith Sinthawanarong’s attempts to reform the health system.

The groups are demanding that Pradith be removed as Health Minister. If their demands are not met by Thursday, during their negotiations at Government House, they have threatened to organize a huge protest at the PM’s house on June 20.
