This morning, Thiphanthorn Maksomboon was brought to the Criminal Court on Ratchadapisek Road, where he will be held from July 1 to 12, pending his first trial on charges of killing and robbing his own grandparents.
Thiphanthorn was refused bail after he confessed to the crime he committed on June 28 at the victims’ house on Soi Phaholyothin 48. After the deaths of 81-year-old Sommai Boonto and 76-year-old Malai Boonto, Thiphanthorn had allegedly fled the scene with over 100 items of precious amulets and some cash.
