Man studies Fast & Furious for big bank heist

A 24-year-old man attempted to rob a bank in Chiang Mai after learning the necessary skills from Fast & Furious 5 and other action movies.

Thanisorn Thepna, 24, was taken into custody within moments of walking into a Bangkok Bank branch, pulling a knife, and shouting the classic line: “Hand over the money!”

He was immediately apprehended by a police officer who had noticed him acting suspiciously in front of the bank before his big heist.

Thanisorn explained he had studied how the villains escaped after bank robberies from action movies such as Fast & Furious 5.

Thanisorn described how one bad decision drove him to become a master criminal.

He had sold his parents’ car and used all the money to party. After his parents scolded him, he decided to rob the bank to buy a new car for them, Khaosod reported.
