Yesterday police found the body of Sakorn Pimpeng, a 29-year-old Ubon Ratchathani local, on a pedestrian overpass on Narathiwat-Ratchanakarin Road in the Sathon district. The suspected killer was arrested.
Police reported that Sakorn had been hit with a hard object in the head and slashed with a broken liquor bottle in the neck. There were multiple bruises all over Sakorn’s body as well.
Officials later busted the suspect, Yodkwan Phongphab, a 23-year-old Don Muang resident who bartended at Sleep Around Pub and Restaurant near the crime scene. Yodkwan, who confessed his crime, told police that Sakorn had given him two bowls of instant noodle and had asked him to pass one bowl to Yodkwan’s female colleague. On his way back to thank Sakorn, Yodkwan said that he was verbally attacked for no reason, a situation that led to the slaughter of Sakorn.
Yodkwan is charged with premeditated murder, Dailynews reported.
