A 30-year-old man from was found hanged at the Democracy Monument on Ratchadamnoen Road this morning.
The deceased was identified as Prakai Phumai from Surin province. He was found hung with a nylon rope behind the sign set up in memory of the late supreme patriarch at around 10am today.
He was estimated to have been dead for about two hours. There was no sign of struggle.
Police said they believed the deceased was a homeless man in the area. They’re checking CCTV cameras for confirmation and will contact his relatives, Thairath reported.
