Police said Friday that the 55-year-old man who fell to his death at Bangkok’s CentralWorld shopping mall was taking photos when he fell from the seventh floor to his death.

Lt. Krissana Kimphaisan said the man was taking photos Tuesday by a railing overlooking a third-floor events space when he fell, and police had ruled his death an accident with no charges to be filed.

The man was pronounced dead at the nearby Police General Hospital after being taken there.

The US Journal of Family Medicine and Primary Care last year found at least 259 selfie-related deaths between 2011 to 2017.
