A Myanmar national fainted on the platform of the Mo Chit BTS station yesterday and was later pronounced dead at the station after paramedics were unable to save him.

The man, identified as 51-year-old Mow Mee, was traveling from Saladang station with two friends. Unexpectedly, he fainted at Mo Chit near exits 3 and 4.

BTS station staff rushed to the man’s aid and moved him to the on-site infirmary, where they performed CPR. Mow Mee regained consciousness briefly but fainted again and had died by the time the ambulance had arrived, according to Arnat Apapiron, advisor to the BTS Board of Directors.

He added that the organization offered their condolences and that the incident had been unforeseeable.

While it is being assumed that the man suffered from a chronic disease, his body has been transferred to the Police Hospital for an autopsy, reported Thai Post.
