Three Malaysian nationals were arrested in Bangkok on Wednesday for using fake credit cards to purchase high end items worth about THB844,700.
The suspects, aged between 23 and 30 years old, also entered Thailand illegally through the southern province of Sadoa, which lies close to Malaysia.
Tourist Police commander Pol Maj Gen Roy Inkapairoj said they recovered 14 fake credit cards and four credit card receipts in the suspects’ possession. They had used scanned credit card information from the US in order to purchase expensive bags, belts and wristwatches. Another member of the syndicate is said to still be at large, the Star.com reported.
