Makkasan Hope throws free concert before sending petition to SRT

Makkasan Hope are putting on a free, open-air concert at Lumpini Park on May 25 in hopes of convincing more people to sign a Change.org petition.

Shortly after the “Sing for the Trees – Let’s Save Makkasan” concert, the online plea, aimed at saving Makkasan from being developed into a full-on commercial complex, will be forwarded to the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), owner of the property, as well as to the Ministry of Transportation.

So far many singers and artists have vowed to join the awareness-raising concert. They include Pango, Au, The Yers, Lek Greasy Café, Mint In Motion, Summer Stop and Tong Jerry and Tuesday. The concert runs from 3pm to 9pm at Sala Bhirombhakdi in Lumpini Park.
