Thai online commenters are not pleased after seeing photos of a monk in his robes giving inappropriate attention to a female.
The photos have been circulating on LINE app and have now made their way to social networking sites and even national news. The identity of the down and dirty monk and his “friend” are unknown but that hasn’t stopped people from sharing and speculating.
Even if they are only ordained temporarily, it is very inappropriate for monks to touch females, much less in a lecherous or sexual way.
The series of photos in question, only a few of which are included here, show a man in saffron cuddling, hugging and kissing an unidentified female.
It’s so scandalous for a monk to touch a woman that there was recently an uproar over a newly-ordained monk holding his infant daughter.
Online commenters are calling for action to be taken against the unknown holy man, reported Daily News.
So far, no one even knows when or where the pictures were taken, though, judging from the background, most people speculate that they are on temple grounds, in the rooms usually reserved as housing for monks.
Commenters on the photos have made suggestions about how to track down the naughty monk and which Buddhist associations might be able to help.
