The traffic outside Siam Paragon and Ratchaprasong area will be partially closed to make way for the “Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018” parade from 5pm – 9pm, local media reported today.

Conveniently scheduled during rush hour, the traffic of two major roads, Rama I and Ratchadamri, will be partially shut down. The closure of Rama I Road will start from Pathumwan Intersection on the side of Siam Discovery shopping mall all the way to Ratchaprasong Intersection.

Then the parade will turn right and proceed on Ratchadamri Road, moving from Ratchaprasong all the way to Rama IV Road. Then the parade will enter Lumpini Park. See the route below.

The parade will contain six floats — each representing an element of Thai cultures, including tourist attractions from all five regions, festivals, and Thai food. There will also be a Thai Airways float featuring first class plane seats and smiling flight attendants.
