A petition to stop the most popular and oldest game show in Thailand Ching Roi Ching Lan from revealing professional magician secrets has been established on Change.org on Monday with the goal of two hundred signatures signed.
Puh Diamond, a professional magician and the campaign starter, claims the TV show does not have the rights to expose the secrets of the world’s magicians, which they did not invent themselves.
“Each magician takes time to master the tricks and execute a perfect performance, but this TV show spoils them and automatically discounts the tricks in our performances,” Puh Diamond wrote, “This should not happen in the Thai media at all.”
Ching Roi Ching Lan, aired on Channel 3 on Sunday afternoon, has a quick section when their comedian gang performs a magic trick with the guests and reveals it at the end of the show.
One of the comedians include Mum Jokmok, Thailand’s famous comedian who starred in the movie Tom Yum Kung along with Tony Jaa.
The campaign starter asked for understanding and respect for his magic profession from the media by not exposing his secrets for their benefit of their business, Khaosod reported.
