A Bangkok cabbie allegedly caught on camera stabbing a motorcyclist with a machete blames the stab victim for starting the fight.
Saneh Nam-ngoen accuses Opas Kraisutha, who is still in hospital being treated for stab wounds in his arm and back, of kicking him first and plans to file an assault complaint against him, Khaosod English reported.
The 53-year-old taxi driver confessed to stabbing the motorcyclist after video footage of him allegedly attacking Opas on Rama IV Road last Wednesday went viral on social media.
Saneh said he blocked Opas from trying to cut into his lane, but later the motorcyclist managed to get in front and gave him the middle finger.
They then parked up and argued. The cabbie admitted that when Opas kicked him, he responded by getting out a machete and stabbing the motorcyclist before driving off.
Saneh has been charged with physical assault causing grievous bodily harm, and carrying a weapon in a residential area.
