Lucky amulet ‘saves man’s life’ in high-speed Lamborghini crash

An executive who wrecked a 34 million-baht Lamborghini in Chonburi and survived without a scratch says the lucky amulet he was wearing saved his life.

Mr Somkiat Kruwongpaiboon, 45, careened into two electric poles and two trees near Sukhumvit Road while he was driving from Bangkok to Chonburi for his father’s funeral at a temple.

Somkiat, the managing director of Asian Steel Bar Company, said it was raining heavily and he spun out, rotating several times before colliding with the poles and trees.

The man was wearing a Great Garuda amulet surrounded by diamonds, which he said he believes protected him from harm, KhaoSod English reported.
