After the trends of Furby and Look Thep died down, the style of going about town with a doll seemed to fade away. However, now it has returned among local celebrities — many of them have been spotted carrying handcrafted stuffed werewolves and treating them like their own children.

The trend was reportedly started by Thai-English actress Rita Ramnarong and her stuffed pup, called “Pepper Pepperoni.” The teen idol has been raising the stuffed werewolf like a baby and even started an Instagram account for the doll, and to make you feel even better, that account has 1,400 followers.

Why?

Actor Anuchyd Sapanphong also jumped on the trend with his baby stuffed werewolf “Bryan.” According to Bryan’s Instagram account, the pair has had a blast in Japan and appeared in an interview together.

Meanwhile, actress Pawanrat Naksuriya took her two bundles of joy to the TV soap set and had them photographed with famous director Pongpat Wachirabunjong. How adorable.

Unlike the Look Thep dolls, which became a national phenomenon last year, these stuffed werewolves are not enchanted by mediums. Instead, they are handcrafted by a Russian artist and each doll could take around three months to make, according to Sanook.

How perfect! Perfectly ugly, that is.

As Furby and Look Thep proved it, doll fads fade eventually. And we cannot wait for the next trendsetter to come up with a hilarious item to interact with.
