Two men were found shot to death inside a tailor shop this afternoon in Bangkok’s Chinatown in what police suspect was a murder-suicide.

Korn Serirojjanasiri, 74, and Wattana Techanawakul, 67, were confirmed dead by the police after the shooting occurred around 1pm on Tuesday inside the Thai Group Textile tailor shop in Soi Yaowarat 23.

When police rushed to the scene, they found Korn and Wattana dead at a dining table along with a .38 pistol, according to Maj. Gen. Methi Rakpan of Metropolitan Police Division 6.

Witnesses told police that the two men were neighbors and close friends who frequented the venue. Three to four gunshots were heard at around 1pm. It was not yet clear which man was the shooter.

Police believe that the two men had a dispute over debt; Methi said an investigation is underway.
