Line Corp. Thailand celebrated its first year of cute stickers by Thai creators which have generated big baht.
Thai designers have accounted for more than 40,000 of Line’s 400,000 sticker creators, according to design chief Ek Arkaraprasertkul, since the sticker creator market launched in May, 2014.
The top 10 Thai stickers alone generated THB27 million in sales, half of which has gone to their designers. Line said it has sold more than THB145 million baht worth of stickers worldwide, according to Thairath.
Line will also hold a sticker contest for designers under the concept “Happy to be Thai.” The winner will get a trip to Japan for three nights and a visit to the original home of Cony and Brown at their Tokyo headquarters.
If you’ve got something to send, you have until July 24 to submit your design. Check out more information online.
Ek suggests winning stickers don’t need famous cartoon characters, but rather will be judged on how practical and creative they are.
