Coconuts Bangkok fan Jonathan Small got an incredible snap of this fat bolt of lightning earlier today from his balcony overlooking Petchaburi Road.
According to Thailand’s Meteorological Department, heavy rains are supposed to be subsiding earlier in the week but that’s certainly not the case right now when we look out the window. They did say that rains would intensify later this week due to an approaching low pressure cell.
Last week, almost 25,000 people were evacuated to makeshift camps after rain-induced floods ravaged eastern Myanmar and areas across the border in Thailand.
