Laugh or groan to 11 old funny films from different cultures

Memory International Film Heritage Festival has selected great 11 films linked by “laughter” from 1902 through 1969 to screen at Alliance Française Bangkok and Film Archive next week.

Exploring the question of what defines comedy, the films from around the globe represent different cultures and eras. At this festival, you will see all jokes, situation-comedy, black comedy and romantic comedy all represented in different formats and genres.

The films have Thai subtitles and English subtitles for those not in English. Film synopses and stills are available at Memory Film Festival Thailand.
