Kolour in the Park: Bangkok’s fave waterfront music fest is back

Presented by

Bangkok’s favorite music festival, Kolour in the Park, is back in town at Thai Wake Park this March 12-13, 2016. The second edition of this festival promises an even bigger party than last year: two full days of killer house, techno and electronic music plus a jam packed lineup of food, drinks, art, giveaways and games. And it’s all happening in the open-air splendor of the lakefront.

Thai Wake Park is just 50 minutes from the city center. But before you complain about the drive, just imagine being surrounded by breathtaking views of green rice fields, lush grass and country roads as you dance the day away. It’s the perfect festival destination, and so worth a little road trip.

As Bangkok’s biggest open-air house and techno festival, Kolour promises an epic music experience and amazing waterfront festival grounds. This year they’re doubling the days and space of the festival. It’s now two days instead of just one, and features three sound stages, including an after-hours stage to rock the crowd into the early hours.

There are two days of energy-fuelled lineups by DJs from around the world. On March 12th Oliver Koletzki, the DJ heavyweight from Berlin, will headline with support from international artists Andreas Henneberg, Domenic D’Agnelli, Julietta, Nakadia, Tobi Neumann.

On Sunday March 13th, the DJ duo Booka Shade is the festival headliner. Berlin-based Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier will be supported by an international DJ line up featuring ATMA, Uone, DJ Zig Zach. Check out Kolour in the Park’s event page for the full DJ lineup.

But it’s not just about the music. There are three beautiful lakes with one main lake for swimming and pro wakeboarding demonstrations. Gourmet food from Bangkok’s top food trucks, vendors and restaurants will feed any and all cravings, and art displays, light installations and arts and crafts will add some culture to your weekend.

As of writing, the 1,000-1,300 THB pre-release tickets are already sold out but weekend passes are still available here for 1,450 THB. Weekend passes at the door will be 1,800 THB while single day passes are 1,100 THB for either Saturday or Sunday.

Get your tickets now at www.kolourinthepark.com and check the Facebook event page for updates. Hint, hint: Stay tuned to the Singha Beer page for surprise giveaways!
