To celebrate this Saturday’s National Children’s Day, children under 140 centimeters tall will be able to ride the BTS Skytrain and bus rapid transit for free from 6am until midnight.
Sorry, tall kids.
According to their website, the Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company Limited, hopes this promotion will encourage families to spend time together.
Eligible children must be accompanied by their parents when they enter and exit each station. Editor: That’s how they get ya.
There will also be activities and games (with prizes!) from 7:30am until 10am at Mochit BTS Station.
National Children’s Day or “Wan Dek” has been observed on the second Saturday in January every year since 1955. The holiday is intended to give kids opportunities to have fun while creating awareness about their important role in the country’s development. Sure. Sounds legit.
Many government offices including the Government House and Parliament House open their doors to children and their families on this holiday.
