Last night, Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Suppression Police inspected a pig slaughterhouse on Rama 4 Road in the Khlong Toei district after receiving multiple complaints about the house’s sub-standard wastewater treatment.
Authorities collected water samples from wastewater treatment ponds inside Pig Resect Trading Cooperative Bangkok and from the canal into which the firm released the wastewater. The company might lose its certificate if the test results, which will be ready in two weeks, show that it does not meet wastewater regulations.
Investigators said that the company’s water management was worse now than it was when the certificate was issued, Dailynews reported.
