KFC to shut down in three southern border provinces

Fast food chicken chain KFC will close their restaurants in Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat provinces, according to state media.

KFC Thailand, however, has not announced their reasons to stop selling unhealthy fried chicken in the country’s Southern border. All of their restaurants will be closed on July 15.

Given southerners’ reputation for making their own pretty amazing fried chicken, we can’t imagine widespread outrage.

Meanwhile, affected KFC employees will be relocated to other branches or can choose to receive compensation. Not that they’re paid much at all, according to complaints from workers and organized labor.
