Japanese expat’s satirical comics reflect ugly truth of Thai society (PHOTOS)

From corrupt police to taxi mafia to limited freedom of speech, Japanese expat Onan Hiroshi tells the ugly truth of Thailand through his insightful comics that get people talking on Facebook.

Hiroshi’s comics cover a range of controversial topics such as politics, economics and beliefs — but he can also see the lighter side of things when he uses weirder incidents such as as snakes in toilets as his subjects.

The expat sometimes compares how things work differently in Thailand and Japan — something that can make us laugh, think or cry.
