A simple spicy salad from Isaan has chewed through the competition to become Europe’s champion Thai dish.
Nam tok moo (spicy pork salad) has replaced massaman as the most popular dish in the European Union, according to a survey of Thai restaurants abroad by the National Food Institute.
Meanwhile, while Americans also love spicy Isaan salad, they prefer them with chicken or beef, institute Director Petch Chinnaboot said.
Petch added the most-popular dish has changed with the times, from tom yum goong to pad thai to massaman curry and now nam tok moo, Khaosod reported.
