Now we can go back to complaining about traffic without it becoming political.
No more calculating complicated routes to go around paralyzed intersections today, as three major intersections along Sukhumvit Road return to normal operation following the contraction of the “Bangkok Shutdown” to a single site.
Traffic has returned to its usual sluggish plod – but moving – at Pathumwan, Ratchaprasong and Asok intersctions this morning after protesters decamped and moved to Lumpini Park, which now resembles a refugee tent camp with hundreds of small tents erected throughout its grounds.
Sala Daeng is reportedly open for traffic as well but was having problems this morning due to malfunctioning traffic signals.
