Interpol aiding hunt for suspect in murder of sex worker

Interpol has joined the hunt for a British man who fled the kingdom after his girlfriend’s body was discovered inside a suitcase in Kanchanaburi’s Mae Klong river.

The international law enforcement agency has issued the equivalent of a warrant for Shane Looker, 45, who is believed to have fled to Malaysia after the remains of 31-year-old Laksmi “Pook” Manochart were found in November, according to Bangkok Post.

Pook was last seen five days earlier leaving a commercial sex area of Bangkok popular with foreigners with a man who police believe to be Looker.

Police said they have searched Looker’s home and found DNA linking him to the crime.
